I was born in Tounucumada, Japan, in My father was a Japanese military leader.
When I was eighteen years old, I joined the Jesuits and became known for my eloquent preaching.
In , the Emperor started to imprison and kill anybody who followed Jesus, and I was arrested along with other Japanese Catholics.
Among us there were priests, brothers and laymen, Franciscans, Jesuits and members of the Secular Franciscan Order; there were catechists, doctors, simple artisans and servants, old men and innocent children.
