Amliv, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was born and raised in Regla, Cuba after four clean pushes from my mom, she said it was the easiest birth and she doesn’t understand why I’ve given her so many headaches as an adult.
Hello, my name is Amliv Sotomayor and I am an Illustrator/ Designer.
Those were the first nine years of my life & have been a proud Hialeah native for the past 22 years. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I’d become a permanent resident of this country.
At a young age, I made a firm decision to put myself through school because I was thirsty for opportunities, self-development & the need to reach my own personal goals.
My goal in art has always been the same and it is to be as creatively spontaneous without limits or restrictions from anyone.
Once I began taking art more seriously and less as a hobby, new doors opened for me with the help of my supporters, my family and a love tha
