          Biography of Rory Kennedy

          Rory Elizabeth Katherine Kennedy, the youngest of eleven children of United States Senator Robert F.

          Kennedy, was born on December 12, 1968, in Washington, D.C., USA. Her father was assassinated six months before her birth by a Palestinian immigrant named Sirhan Sirhan.

          She graduated from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.

          In the 1990s, Kennedy, along with her university classmate Vanessa Vadim, Jane Fonda and Roger Vadim's daughter, founded a non-profit organization called "Mayday Media," specializing in the production and distribution of socially conscious films.

          In 1998, Kennedy and Liz Garbus established the company "Moxie Firecracker Films," which also focused on producing documentary films that shed light on pressing social issues.

          Kennedy made her directorial and producing debut with the documentary film "American Hollow"
